Summary
The Rocket Missile is a Missile automatically unlocked when the Missile Launcher/Multi Missile Launcher is built. The Rocket Missile has no special abilities and is comparable to the Mineral Mining Laser in damage.
Like all Missiles, the Rocket Missile bypasses shields and can be dodged by ships that have a powered Engine onboard. The Rocket Missile can be upgraded by researching Rocket in the Laboratory.
Usage
Missile Combos
Rocket Spam [DPS][Early Game] +
- Advantages: Is unlocked early in the game, has a low Research requirement, and is friendly for lower level players.
- Disadvantages: Struggles against heavily Armored rooms and tanky Crew.
- Additional Notes: The combo should be paired with other weapon rooms as the combo itself cannot provide sufficient DPS.
Jungle Bait [DPS][Early Game] +
- Advantages: The Rocket Missile can be used to bait repair Crew into a room, and the Jungle Missile can then be used to kill them.
- Disadvantages: Struggles against tanky Crew and is hard to implement without Python 3.x.
When To Use
The Rocket Missile is mostly used in the early game for extra DPS. Missiles obtained later like the Scarlet Missile and Javelin Missile (Only When Maxed) outperform the Rocket Missile in damage and viability.
AI
The AI equip command for the Rocket Missile is relatively straightforward. Once the below AI equip command is in the Missile Launcher/Multi Missile Launcher, it will automatically equip the Rocket Missile during combat.
