Summary
The Ion Core is the ammo you need to fire the Ion Cannon in battle. The Ion Core can be upgraded via Ion Charge Researches to increase how many volleys of lasers the Ion Cannon will shoot. This item is incredibly important to upgrade as the Ion Cannon is an incredibly powerful weapon in the late game.
