The EMP Cannon is a late game weapon unlocked at ship level 10. The cannon sends a barrage of EMP lasers that do minimal room damage when fired, these lasers do not damage crew. The lasers also need to be recharged with gas for use.

The EMP Cannon can be a pretty high risk high reward weapon. The weapon itself takes alot of power and does only 2-3 bars of damage to shielding. However, if you can take down the shields fast, it can heavily stun long charging rooms like the [[Ion Cannon]] and [[Teleport]].

If your level 11, chances are all the other level 11 people have it. If your level 10 and can power and fit it, go for it, it really hurts [[Teleport]]ers and the [[Hangar]]. Alot of people will try to take out EMP weapons first so make sure you armor and man this thing well. Note that the EMP Cannon is classified as a cannon in the [[Command Center]].

Do you have trouble fighting boarders, do you have enough wiggle room to fit a 4x2 room without cutting off important rooms, do you have enough shield damage for it, and can you power it. Summary

The EMP Cannon is a 4x2 weapon room unlocked at level 10. It's the most reliable way of inflicting EMP to rooms because unlike the EMP Missile, the EMP Cannon's charges cannot be dodged with an Engine. Like the Plasma Discharger, the EMP Cannon requires Gas Gas fueled ammo to fire.
