Summary
The Defender Craft or formally known as "Defender" is the second craft you can unlock for the Hangar via Researches. This is essentially just a tankier and slower Interceptor Craft. This is also considered the best damage dealing Craft because of its stats.
Strategy
Spamming 
:
This strategy is very common and quite effective. This strategy involves targeting key rooms on the enemy ship like the Anti Craft Laser and locking them down. Locking them down means making a room unrepairable because of the continuous damage being done to the room. This also does a good job of killing repair crew.
Lockdown Paired With :
This strategy is the same as the above mentioned strategy but it involves launching a Corsair Craft after the shields go down to stun lock a room. This is usually rooms like the Teleport or Hangar that usually have many strong repair crew guarding it.
Lockdown Paired With :
This strategy is also like the first strategy but it kills repair crew much faster. You want to launch a mix of Firehawks and Defenders to target medium-large rooms like the Reactor. The fire and defender lasers will usually lockdown the room and kill all the repair crew inside it.
