Important Notes
For the rest of the article, we will refer to Crew in a Crew Collection as Crew^. Along with this, we will refer to Crew in the same Crew Collection as Crew*.
Summary
Crew^ essentially have an inactive buff that can be activated once a certain criterion is met. To activate a Crew Collection buff, a certain threshold of Crew* have to be present onboard the player's ship. The buffs from these collections grow in effectiveness with the amount of Crew* onboard. Along with this, Crew^ have to be unique to add to the collection. Thus, if you have two of the same Crew* onboard your ship, only one of the Crew* will add to their Crew Collection. Once the collection buff is active, Crew* will glow in a specific color. Note, if a Crew* member dies in combat, they still contribute to the collection buff.
Picture Summary
1. The SavySoda Collection requires 3 Crew* onboard your ship, but only 2 Crew* are currently onboard. | 2. Now that Thomas (A Crew member part of the collection) is onboard, the Collection is active and the Crew glow. |
3. Crew that aren't part of a Collection do not show anything in the circled region. | 4. Crew that are part of a Collection show their collection in the circled region. | 5. Once the Crew's* Collection buff is active, a perks section will show on the Crew* member's profile. |

How To Read Charts
Collection Name | Enhancement Icon | Enhancement Name | Minimum Crew | Maximum Crew | Base Buff | Step Buff |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Critters | Vampirism | 3 | 10 | 1% | 1% |
- Now let's explain the chart starting with the first 3 columns. Collection Name is self explanatory. Enhancement Icon and Name is the buff the Crew Collection contains.
- Next up, Minimum Crew and Maximum Crew. Minimum Crew shows the minimum amount of Crew* needed to active the collection Buff. Maximum Crew shows the amount of Crew* needed to max the collection's effectiveness.
- Next up, Base Buff and Step Buff. Base Buff shows the collection's effectiveness once it's activated. Step Buff shows how much each subsquent Crew* improves the collection's effectives, Step Buff does not include the Crew needed to activate the collection.
- For Example, let's say we have 7 Critters Crew*, 2 in the ship's inventory and 5 onboard the ship. The 2 Crew* in the inventory aren't counted. 3 Crew* are needed to activate the buff, and the 2 remaining Crew* help improve the collection. The Base Buff for Critters is 1%, and the Step Buff is 1%. Thus, the collection buff would be 3% (1% + 1% + 1%).

When the Crew* member attacks a 5 HP enemy crew, he/she/it gets 0.2 HP (4 x 0.05) added to its current HP (This HP gain will not go past the Crew's* maximum HP)
